Special terms and conditions of sale

1 - Services provide by the association: the purpose of the association is to contribute to the development and promotion of tourist sites comprising light leisure dwellings that meet the Quality Charter, mainly installed in campsites, holiday villages or Tourism centres owned or managed by its members. The association's overall goal is to develop certain areas, rural in particular, and drive harmonious growth of the tourist industry. The association's services are designed to ensure the promotion, booking and sale of all services offered by provider members with a valid service agreement.


 2 - Rates and tax regulations: prices are fixed on the basis of public prices with taxes, including VAT at the current rate. The association and its provider members reserve the right to change the applicable rates in the event of a change in the tax regulations, at any time of year.


 3 - Liability: the booking department that assigns a lease to a client is said client's sole contact and is accountable to them for executing the obligations under the present terms and conditions of sale. It cannot be held responsible for acts of God, cases of force majeure or actions by any person outside the organisation, or for the course of the holiday and the services provided on that occasion.


 4 - Bookings: bookings become firm on receipt of a deposit amounting to 30% of the cost of the holiday, together with the application fee and the insurance premium, if purchased. A valid supporting document will have to be returned to the booking department in order to qualify for any discount or reduction. The various discounts on offer are not cumulative. Cancellation insurance may be purchased from the booking department. The cancellation policy is detailed in our special terms and conditions of sale (see Article 8). The client acknowledges that they are fully aware of the fact that their agreement on the content of the booking form and the special terms and conditions of sale does not require the handwritten signature of these documents, but results from the sole act of making the booking confirmed by the payment of the due deposit.


 5 - Payment of the balance: The client formally agrees to pay the booking department the balance of the agreed rental at least one month prior to commencing the holiday. Clients who fail to pay the balance by the agreed date are deemed to have cancelled their holiday. The relevant accommodation will therefore be offered for rent again.


 6 - Exchange voucher: Upon receipt of the total price of the holiday, the booking department will send the client a voucher to be handed in on arrival to the person at reception, thus allowing them to take possession of their accommodation.


 7 - Arrival: The client shall present themselves on the date stated on the voucher. They are granted a 24-hour period in which to do so. After this time, and if the booking department has not been notified, the booking will be cancelled under the terms of Article 8. The relevant accommodation will therefore be offered for rent again.


 8 - Cancellation: for cancellations notified to the booking department by the purchaser, said purchaser remains liable for: • the application fee, non-refundable • all or part of the total price as follows:

- Cancellation over 30 days prior to departure: 30% withholding fee for the holiday - between 30 and 15 days prior to departure: a charge of 50% of the total price - Less than 15 days prior to departure: the full price of the holiday will be withheld

All cancellations shall be confirmed in writing: by mail (date as per postmark), email or fax. For any cancellation due to the seller and depending on the case, the provisions set out in Articles 101-103 of decree No. 94-490 of 15 June 1994 will automatically apply. CAMPO DÉCOUVERTE may have to change or cancel a holiday or activity in the event of insufficient participation or external events beyond its control.


 9 - Breaks of stay: There will be no refund should the client break their holiday for any reason whatsoever. The relevant accommodation will therefore be offered for rent again. It is not possible to change sites after arrival.


 10 - Modifications: any modification due to the purchaser will result in an additional fee of 40 euros (for stays of 7 nights or more) or € 20 (for stays of less than 7 nights) per invoice being charged for any changes to the booking. A change in the content of the holiday may only be made once our booking department has given its approval over the phone and for a holiday taking place during the current tourist season. This modification will have to be confirmed by mail, accompanied by a payment of 40 euros or 20 euros and any supporting documents within 7 days of your call. No modification will be accepted once the holiday has been paid for. This "modification" article only concerns minor holiday items excluding any change in destination. It may not, under any circumstances, replace our terms and conditions of cancellation (see Article 8).

Concerning any modification made by the seller or a provider, and where the essential elements of the holiday would be changed prior to its commencement, the client may, within seven days of being notified:

  • either, cancel their booking as provided for in Article 8 or agree to participate in the modified holiday by signing a contract amendment specifying the modifications and the resulting decrease or increase in the price.

 11 - Late booking: full payment of the total price of the holiday will be required for any bookings made within 30 days of arrival. You can book or extend your stay at the last minute (subject to availability) by calling our booking centre provided that you pay for the entire stay by credit card only (Visa or MasterCard) at the time of booking.


 12 - Claims and litigation: any complaint concerning a holiday shall be sent to the booking department by registered letter with acknowledgment of receipt within three days at most after taking possession of the accommodation. In the event of a dispute, the competent court shall be that of the Puy-de-Dôme, the department where Campô Découverte's head office is domiciled.


 13 - Holiday rentals: Rentals are made by the week from Saturday at 4 p.m. to the following Saturday at 10 a.m. and on weekends outside the high season. All our lodgements are non-smoking.


 14 - Services and obligations: Unless otherwise stated, our prices include the supply of electricity. Some sites invoice charges as surplus costs. Sheets, household linen and towels are not provided (unless otherwise stated). A deposit will be required upon arrival.

The client is responsible for cleaning the lodgings; if they are not left perfectly clean, a cleaning fee will be charged.


 15 - Inventory: The inventory is available on arrival. The client shall confirm or make any remarks or complaints to the accommodation manager on the same day or the following day. Late complaints will not be taken into account. An outgoing inventory will be made at the end of your holiday. The deposit will be returned only once proper restitution of the accommodation has been confirmed.


 16 - Tourist tax: The tourist tax is payable on site. The amount varies depending on the age of the participants in the holiday and may take the form of a daily fee or a lump sum. It is collected by the hosts on behalf of the municipalities or other local authorities.


 17 - Pets: Before you book, make sure that your pet is allowed at the chosen site. Some sites request a financial contribution: see the pictogram for each destination. Category 1 and 2 dogs are not allowed. Only one pet is allowed per accommodation unit. You will have to be able to show your pet's vaccination record to the local manager. Your pet will have to be tattooed, vaccinated and held on a leash. The site manager is entitled to refuse any dog ​​owner who does not comply with this clause.


 18 - Number of occupants: Each lodging is designed for a specific maximum number of occupants, which cannot be exceeded. A baby or child counts for one person. Any change in the list of persons stated on the exchange voucher must be notified to the Association in writing the day before the departure at the latest. The host site may refuse entry or charge a supplement and a booking modification fee if they find there are extra guests on arrival. As specified in Article 10 of the special terms and conditions of sale, no modifications will be accepted once the stay has been paid for.


 19 - Services and leisure activities: Some services and leisure activities are given for information only and shall not engage the Association's liability.


 20 - Summer entertainment: Some campsites offer entertainment in July / August. When "summer entertainment" is indicated in the campsite description, the campsite undertakes to provide at least 2 day or evening events per week for children and/or adults, which may be free or require a fee. The campsite manager may cancel the planned events if the weather is bad or there are not enough participants.


 21 - Individual insurance policies: The cancellation fee insurance is not included in the price of the holiday and is optional; we offer it as an additional item.


 22 - Professional insurance: In accordance with law 92.645 of 13 July 1992, our insurance policy solely covers our own professional civil liability. This policy has been taken out with the MMA Group - 551, rue G.-Clémenceau - 63000 Clermont-Ferrand - N°120447472.


 22 - Guarantees: Campô Découverte is a trademark of CHALETS DÉCOUVERTE registered with INPI. The Association has taken out a financial guarantee with the Crédit Agricole Centre France Clermont-Fd Entreprise - 3 avenue de la Libération - 63045 Clermont-Fd cedex 01, under the conditions required by law for an amount set annually by order of the Puy-de-Dôme Prefect.

The CHALETS DÉCOUVERTE association agrees to comply with the "Data Protection" Act. Our files have been declared to the CNIL. Every physical person is entitled to access and edit their personal information.
